As a Marvel and Spider-Man fanboy, it’s difficult to wait almost a year for the release of the highly anticipated film Spider-Man: Homecoming. While Shocker is arguably one of the best Spider-Man villains for several reasons, the Shocker isn’t the right caliber of bad guy to be a member of the Sinister Six. 8-Ball is one of those villains whose charm mostly comes from his gimmick and that he’s a bit of a loser. Max Dillon is a bit of a wild card, but that means he could also win the day for the Sinister Six. He’s also a good bit smarter than Norman Osborn, and Otto’s ego isn’t inflated enough that he would respond to any challenge from his underlings with a pumpkin bomb.
Any good Sinister Six team needs an X-factor; otherwise, it’s just another bog-standard Sinister Six team. Any good team needs a leader, and Doc-Ock is easily the best leader that the Sinister Six has ever enjoyed. While Otto isn’t quite what one would call sane, he’s easily the most stable leader in the history of the Sinister Six–certainly compared to the Green Goblin. Otto has studied Spider-Man for years; he’s even been Spider-Man at various points. Unlike many superheroes, Spider-Man does not have a weakness he is automatically vulnerable to, but in recent years methods have been created to render him vulnerable.
Doctor Octopus, Green Goblin, Venom, and many of Spidey’s other greatest enemies have been a part of the team–but they’ve never completely won the day. Speaking of wild cards, Mysterio is another Sinister Six mainstay that could actually be a part of the winning formula. The question must be asked: what Sinister Six configuration could actually bring down Spider-Man? Pavitr is the Spider-Man of India from Earth-50101. He was invited to give talks on astrology in Europe in 1993 that was sponsored by AIR INDIA and TCI. In Avengers: Infinity War, Peter donned this technological marvel as he took his ill-fated trip into the stars. Here’s a shot of that for comparison (and a tweet from Marvel Games’ VP confirming the reuse).
It’s barely similar to the original Supergirl costume. She also worked with costume illustrators and concept artists to perfect the lines and use shadow and contour to create the illusion that the suit was very thick, when it was actually quite thin. A fusion of two of Marvel’s best loved characters Spider-Man and Iron Man, it has armour padding on the chest and biceps, it’s perfect for shooting webs and saving the world before tea time. The perfect soundtrack for putting on bug spray. 15 included webbing stretched underneath each arm, and while they usually appeared on the costume, various panels show the costume without the web wings as well.
While this may make him a solid escape driver, it doesn’t really do much for the Sinister Six–especially in a fight. To make the webbing, I used a permanent marker and followed the patterns in pics I saw- the web on the mask started from the nose area and radiated outward. What is more, the face is covered by the breathable spider mask and see-through. Spider-man’s known for his slick suit and web-slinging abilities, but in the recent 2017 film ‘Spider-Man Homecoming’, we meet Peter Parker before he ever dons his sleek spider suit. For some reason, the traditional look of the suit was altered until the eyes were smaller, there were needless designs on the gloves, and the whole time it looked like Spidey was wearing sneakers. I saw one where a guy made a large head and then had the required lab coat and pants but to me it looked so cheesy and not life like.
